Summer internships are a great way to gain professional experience while earning course credit.
Many academic programs involve an experiential learning component such as study abroad, service learning, or an internship. Review your major and degree requirements in the Mercer Catalog for details.
If you plan to participate in an internship as a way to fulfill program requirements and earn course credit, you will need to get approval from your academic advisor and enroll in an internship course.
Contact your academic advisor with questions regarding your program requirements or summer internship opportunities.
The Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) hosts an annual Summer Internship On-Campus Housing Program that provides a select number of students the opportunity to enhance their experience by participating in professional development programming with CCPD staff and their peers while receiving summer housing on either the Macon or Atlanta campus at a reduced rate. Applications for this program are available annually in February and March and can be found on Handshake.
