Drop or Add Online Courses

Students seeking to drop or add online courses must submit the request to the Office of the Registrar via email using their Mercer email account. Students must submit the following information to add or drop courses:

  • Subject line: Drop/Add Online

  • Name

  • Birthdate

  • Student ID
  • Home school/college and campus location
  • Telephone (Home and Work/Cell)

 

Please remember if you plan to add an online course from a Mercer college or school other than your own, you must get permission to cross-register.

Adding Courses


Students seeking to add courses must also include:
Course/Section and Course Credit Hours (examples: CLA CHR 101.001, CPE MATH 129.1D1 or  BUS BUS 275.003)

Dropping Courses


Students seeking to drop courses must also include:
Course/Section and Course Credit Hours (examples: CLA CHR 101.001, CPE MATH 129.1D1 or BUS BUS 275.003)

Students must also be sure to drop any wait-listed course(s) that they no longer plan to take.

 

If You Require Special Permission:

In some cases, special permission may be required to register (R) or audit (A) a course. If this is the case, students must seek permission from the Associate Dean in the college or school before course information is sent to the Office of the Registrar. The following is a list of Associate Deans:

School of Engineering

Tift College of Education

Penfield College

Georgia Baptist College of Nursing

Townsend School of Music

The official approval date will be the date that the Registrar receives the email. (If special permission is required, the official approval date will be the date that the Registrar receives the email along with the Associate Dean's approval.)
